“Revealer of the Enemy” is a book written by Jack Serra. Have you ever been driving down the road and your wife shares an insight that she can’t explain? Perhaps she is answering a question you have been wrestling with for days and when you ask her to explain it, she can’t and is even embarrassed by it. We know women are different than men in brain development and in styles and needs, but what are we to do when she tells us something, in the spirit, that she can’t even explain?

Eve was deceived by Satan and she saw the enemy face to face. Following that first encounter Eve recognized that Satan is truly a deceiver and she would never forget. Much like physical DNA is passed down generational lines, so Eve has passed down a spiritual DNA to every woman. The key is that every woman who is now married has the spiritual capacity to reveal what the enemy is up to in certain situations at home and regarding her husband's work.

God has given the wife the spiritual ability to recognize things men cannot easily discern. When the wife warns her husband about something that he is considering doing and he asks why, her response will sound something like, "I don't know" or "It just doesn't seem or feel right." Often it is a warning from God through her that must be considered by the husband. It's time to slow down and reconsider the issue.

As husbands our role is to help create a home environment conducive to holiness. Protect what happens and comes into the home. We are to love our wife the way that Christ loved the church and died for her. Pray for your wife and bless her so that she can be holy and blameless before God. One day we will be held accountable for our role as Head of the home and God is going to want to know how we carried out this calling. He’s going to ask how your wife is. What will we respond?
